Mary A. Peterson教授為知覺心理學與認知心理學(Perception and Cognitive Psychology) 的知名國際學者,早年師承並受教於哥倫比亞大學建構學派的大師Julian Hochberg教授;其主要的專長為知覺組織及認知與知覺歷程之互動與影響。研究的興趣則分佈於知覺組織、認知歷程對知覺組織的影響、記憶與知覺的關係、知覺圖形與背景分離的影響因素等重要且有趣 的知覺心理學議題。Peterson教授有深厚之知覺與認知心理學素養,她除了忙於教學與研究的 工作外,並擔任著名期刊如Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews: Cognitive Science, Journal of Vision, 及 Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance, Psychological Science, Psychonomic Bulletin & Review等之編輯工作。

Rutie (Ruth) Kimchi教授亦為認知心理學與知覺心理學界知名的國際學者，Max Wertheimer Minerva Center for Cognitive Processes and Human Performance的主持人，同時也是Association for Psychological Science的成員。早年師承並受教於加州柏克萊大學建構學派的重要知覺心理學者Stephen E. Palmer教授。其主要的專長領域 為知覺組織(perceptual organization),研究的興趣則分佈在知覺組織之影響因素、知覺組織與 視覺注意力之關係,臉孔辨識中成分處理與組態處理之關係,知覺群組(perceptual grouping)) 等主要議題。Kimchi教授正值中壯年,且著作等身,除平日忙於研究與教授工作之外,並擔任著名期刊如Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory and Cognition, Psychologia, Israel Journal of Psychology之編輯工作及著名期刊如Acta Psychologica; Child Development; Cognition; Cognitive Development; Cognitive Neuropsychology; Cognitive Psychology; European Journal of Cognitive Psychology; Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance; Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory and Cognition; Journal of Experimental Psychology: General; Journal of Vision; Memory & Cognition; Neuropsychologia; Perception; Attention, Perception & Psychophysics; Psychological Bulletin; Vision Research等之審查。
